The sky has been pretty cloudy today... I had taken my daughter to my dad's place, where she fell asleep... so I walked back home... not carrying a 2 year old asking questions incessantly.. but just like the good old times... carefree...at my previous pace... enjoying the weather... i beheld a mango tree and margosa tree sprouting young tender green leaves and drank in the beauty of it against the overcast sky.. I beheld a squirrel scurrying across the trees...
Oh!! it has been soooo long since I did all this... Thank you God for this short but refreshing walk!!!

You know I would take my bsa-champ bicycle out and go riding fast in the rain getting all wet and splashing water all around... I was lucky back then to enjoy the empty wide roads of Bangalore... all for myself. And then when I would get back home mom would be so furious I ventured out in the rain... lol... miss those days... my childhood days in the rains...

You know... i have done that too...solitary rides in the twilight rains through the avenues and by-lanes of Adyar of ten years past... the bicycle ride and the rain.. a strange romance..... today I am too self conscious to do something like that.. but those days were just "Devil-may-care" days....
