After almost 8-9 years, I met up with my friend Vijay. (I may have referred to him in some of my previous posts). I feel so happy at having finally caught up with him after so many years... Yes we did stay in touch in spite of his having left to pursue higher studies, yes we met every time he visited india, and yes I did go to his wedding, but we spoke like the good old times only today...
Our introduction in school dates back to high school... Initially, I really thought of him as a jerk- he had his hair bleached and had this cool attitude about him... but then we got to talking and how wrong I was about him... He is such a great pal...
Today, we spoke about the good old times, his family, my family, work, how we have evolved over the years, the trials each of us face in our respective "near-perfect" lives and all of it.... I was especially thrilled about the way he spoke of his wife.... evidently he loves her deeply and is very grateful to her for the unrelenting support that she is in his hectic life...
